Mary Sue Lux, DVM

Education: University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine
Hi, I am Dr. Mary Sue Lux. I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and received my veterinary degree in 1986 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.

I am the owner of the Westosha Veterinary Hospital and my husband Mark owns & operates the Paris Pet Crematory. I really love Veterinary Medicine and taking care of all of your pets. Over the years I have met so many wonderful and caring pet owners that really have also become my friends. I enjoy working up medical cases and performing surgery. I have extra experience working with greyhounds and whippets. I am proud of our dental program and our recent digital advances.

My life is full and busy these days with our three children; D’Angelo, Todora & David, our dogs; Indy, Squirt, and Czarsky, and two cats, Cicely & Jeremy! We enjoy hiking, swimming, and biking and when I can, I like to relax with a good novel. Westosha Veterinary Hospital is a compassionate “family” of animal caregivers. We are all here to help you and your beloved pets.

I have a life-long interest in small animal behavior and have pursued special training in this area.  I graduated from the Karen Pryor Academy in February of 2015, and have been named a Certified Training Partner.  I started my own behavior business in April of 2015- Click to Connect Animal Behavior Consulting and Training, LLC.

I enjoy spending time with my husband Nick, two daughters Brinlee and Aliyah, our dogs Blue and Winnie, and our cat Salem. I like to spend my free time camping, gardening, baking, and scrapbooking.

Brianna Harn, DVM

Hi, I’m Dr. Harn. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri. I am originally from the Chicago area, but decided to move up to Wisconsin with my dog Jerzie and my cat named Mouse. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, going to wineries, soft pretzels, and watching the Packers. My veterinary interests include primary/preventative medicine and helping owners make informed decisions about their pets’ health. I look forward to building a great long-lasting relationship with all pet owners!

Jennifer

Hi! My name is Jennifer and I am a receptionist at Westosha Vet. I’ve been a part of this great team since 2006, and have really enjoyed meeting the clients and their wonderful pets.  I have 2 dogs, Allie and Mylie, and a firebelly toad named Frog.  My best friend lives next door and his name is Ernie the Emu- don’t tell my husband!

Jessica

Reception

Hi, my name is Jessica. I am a receptionist here at Westosha Vet. I started as an extern in the summer of 2020. During my externship, I grew an admiration for the passion that is put into the care provided by the Westosha Vet team, so much so that I decided I wanted to be a part of the team. Outside of work I enjoy curling up with my fur babies Nemo the dog, and two cats Cher and Finlee.

Linda

Reception

Hi, my name is Linda & I originally came to Westosha as a client in 2013.  I was looking for a more personable, caring veterinary practice for my elderly cat who had chronic health problems.  After she passed, I was so pleased with the care she had received that I continued as a client with my 2 rescued cats, which I adopted.

In 2014, I decided to apply for a receptionist position because of the congenial atmosphere of the staff & the opportunity to work with clients and their pets.  I have 20 yrs of experience in the human services field as an addiction counselor.  I’m so glad I switched to serving pets & their people!  Its very rewarding and I love it!

Hillary

Veterinary Assistant

Hello! My name is Hillary and I have been working with your pets in veterinary medicine since 2014. I completed the veterinary assistant program at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL. I joined the WVH team in 2022. The best part of my job is knowing that, great or small, I’ve made a difference in a pet’s life.

When I’m not at work I can be found enjoying the company of my furry four-legged companions. I have 2 cats, Zoey and Winks who allow me to exist in their presence. I also have 2 dogs, Barli and Zylah, who are my world! Usually, I can be found hiking with my dogs or during the summer, floating on my kayak. I also enjoy venturing up to my family’s cabin in the Northwoods.
